On September 11, 2001, when the planes flew over us and we watched the towers fall, everything changed. But in some ways it was just another link in a very long chain of events that began years ago. The 9/11 Series bears witness to what happened that day. It is also an open-ended exploration that asks why, and examines where we're headed from here. The format of the paintings is emblematic of what is now the most immediate, universal form of modern communication: the t-shirt.
